Valentine's Wine Dinner

featuring PIUS Estate Winery

Thursday, February 12 | 6:00 PM | $160 per guest | Prepaid

CityGate Grille invites guests to begin Valentine’s weekend early with an intimate five-course wine dinner featuring PIUS Estate Winery, a rising star from Paso Robles’ Willow Creek District. Crafted with intention and emotion, PIUS wines are rooted in the belief that true quality reveals itself slowly—what the winery calls “depth only,” where each sip unfolds with meaning, texture, and time.

Founded by self-taught winemaker Anthony Versochi, PIUS follows an artisanal path: organically farmed estate vineyards, hand-harvested fruit, native fermentations, extended aging, and labels hand-painted to capture the spirit of each vintage. The result is wine with quiet power and lingering resonance—made for those who value experience as much as flavor.

Against this backdrop, CityGate Grille presents a winter menu layered with richness and warmth: French Kiss oysters with raspberry mignonette, seafood pappardelle, cocoa-rubbed ribeye with chocolate red wine sauce, herb-roasted venison, and tiramisu scented with cinnamon and vanilla.

Served atop white tablecloths and soft moody lighting, with polished service and unhurried pacing, the evening is designed for conversation, connection, and romance—an unforgettable night to toast the season with someone special.
